We want the children at Ludwell Primary School to develop their knowledge of people and places and to understand the physical, social and economic forces which shape those places and the lifestyles of the people who live there.
Learning in Geography is usually integrated within wider topics. For example, we had a whole school topic on China when Class 3 learnt about China’s one child policy and had debates, Class 2 found out about schools, houses and jobs and Class 1 got fully engaged in the culture, listening to Chinese music and making dragons. The topic ended with a fun day including a Dragon dance.
